Welcome to E-Prime 2.0 Preview!
Thank you for previewing E-Prime 2.0. The E-Prime Development Team has been hard at work completing the main features for E-Prime 2.0 and has released a preview version prior to the formal BETA release. The three most desired features, movie playback, copy/paste of objects, and a side-by-side install with E-Prime 1.x (e.g. allow currently active research studies to continue without interruption) are included in this initial release as well as a number of other additions. This is just a preview to the final release of E-Prime. There are a number of additional features and changes to E-Prime 2.0 on the way that have not been included because they are in progress and to allow for the best stability for the preview. Please visit the E-Prime threads in the PST User Forum to keep up-to-date on downloads, features, and bug fixes.

2675 - INFO: Changes between E-Prime 1.2 and E-Prime 2.0
Known IssuesE-Prime 2.0 currently requires Windows XP. E-Studio, E-Merge, E-DataAid, and E-Recovery are enabled. Support for E-Prime 2.0 and Windows 98/ME have been suspended. If your lab requires Windows 9x support, please make that known on the PST User Forum. The state and positions of the Utility Windows (Toolbox, Properties, Structure, etc) will not be saved. There have been no updates to the Documentation and Help (please see the KB for any updates or 1.x resources) Movies are not playing in real time and may notice delays even when using PreRelease. Movie Files that are not of MPEG-1, MPEG-2, or DIVX may not play. Experiments with Packages/PackageCalls will not open. End users that have "E-Prime Extensions" versions or other Industrial Partners configurations will not work.
What timing considerations are in effect for E-Prime 2.0 Preview?
Although preliminary timing tests with E-Prime 2.0 Preview versions with the BBTK have resulted in expected timing values, thorough and formal timing results will not occur until later stages and final release of the E-Prime 2.0 system. Early versions of the E-Prime 2.0 BETA will notice significant delays when presenting movies. These delays will be logged accordingly via the FirstFrameTime available logging value. Subsequent releases of the E-Prime BETA will focus on movie playback timing. Because of the significant changes required to perform accurate movie playback, the display subsystem has not been modified in the initial releases of the E-Prime 2.0 BETA to ensure stability. Please keep posted to http://www.pstnet.com/products/e-prime/timing for both E-Prime 1.x and E-Prime 2.0 timing information.
