| We have just acquired E-prime 2.0 professional (never had E-prime before). I've installed everything on my computer, but now, when I start up E-studio, I get the E-Prime auto-update pop-up, and after that: "This system is in violation of the license agreement". E-studio starts up, but everything is greyed out, except "properties", "run" and "about". properties doesn't "do" anything. "file" only leads to the exit. I've checked the usb-port to see if that's the problem, to no avail. The little green thingy is burning red. I'm not sure what to do? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

| Hi, I used to be an user of the first version of E-Prime. I bought the second one recently. With E-Prime 1, it was allowed to open a script with E-Studio a few times WITHOUT the hardware key, what was very convenient. It seems that it is not the case anymore with E-Prime version2, as, when I don't put the hardware key, no file can be opened, as it was previously described in this discussion. Will it be different in the future? Many thanks

| A grace period will be offered in an upcoming build, thank you for your patience while we address that issue. -Brandon

| A grace period would be much appreciated, as would be the option to plug in a hardware key other than that used when upgrading to E-Prime 2 Pro (from E-Prime 1). I have bought two copies of E-Prime 2 Pro (upgrades). It's happened several times that I forgot my hardware key at home, being then unable to work at the office. When I tried my second hardware key, I got this annoying activation message box saying that the key had already been used for an upgrade. So the result is that despite having purchased two E-Prime Pro keys, I can't use the program unless I have the very key I used to upgrade plugged in. Not very convenient, I must say.
