I need to alter the pathway for the data files (.edat and .txt) created in E-Prime 2.0, and the techniques that worked in 1.0 don't work. I've tried usng the E-Kick tool, but it will not accept files created by E-P 2.0 (it rejects the .ebs2 extension). I've also tried editing the .ebs2 file with E-Run or other text editor, but this doesn't work with E-Prime 2.0 either. Can you please suggest a solution that will allow me to create the subject data files in a folder different from the one where the .ebs2 file is?

If you need to alter where they are stored...
KB1073 - FEATURE: Ability to specify location path for data file with E-DataPath environment variable

If you need to alter the actual file root names (see bottom)...
