I'm getting a problem when I try to run a E-prime 2 script which contains a few video files. The script basically presents 5 video clips, 4 times each, so 20 in total. Before it gets to the end it crashes with the following message:
Runtime Error
The following Runtime Error occured.
No video memory available to create video buffer.
My video clips are about 1MB each, but I do not want to take the quality down, so wondered if there was a way round this. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers
Paul

I am having a very similar problem. The error generated is the same, with error code -999.
I have experimented with a large range of file types, sizes, bit rates, and program parameters, and all I can come up with is that the error is generated whenever I have more than one movie in a procedure (sequentially). In this case it is generated 100% of the time with my videos. When the procedure is only playing 1 movie (the only object in the procedure), then all of the same videos play perfectly fine.
I am using 2.0.1.103, on a very robust system with plenty of resources.
Any help, Brandon?
Thanks!

Just to give some updated details:
1) The problem seems to occur only when a procedure contains multiple movie objects AND when the filenames of the movie objects are set via attribute. Hardcoding the filenames seems to remove the problem.
2) The problem is persistent through versions .109 and .119; and is persistent with and without the installation of ffdshow
Any help on this from someone in the know would be MUCH appreciated!

| I had exactly the same problem, with the same errors, when presenting sequential video files selected from an attribute list. I 'solved' it by using .mpg files rather than .wmv files - I converted them using Super as suggested by Brandon in another thread. I'm running 2.0.1.109 pro on a pretty average laptop. Hope that helps, cheers, Ian
