hi,
I'm working with e-prime2.0 and getting the following error massage:
"Run-time Error (Line 343) 11053: An error occurred while attempting to load the movie
Marker: 236
Error: 0 (0x0)"
I've already taken the following steps:
[*] Updated the version of e-prime: 2.0.8.74
[*] Updated the net frame version
[*] Updated the directX version
[*] START > RUN < dxdiag (verified that all the DirectX features at DISPLAY are enabled)
[*] Set the screen to 32 bit
[*] Uninstalled the XVID codec and installed the K-LITE codec, to see if it works with that one
[*] I'm working with regular AVI files edited by the Windows Movie Maker program - saved as DV-AVI(PAL), which works well with e-prime on other computers.
WHAT ELSE COULD BE DONE??
thanks,
dana

Dana,
I have a very similar problem as have others who's posts I'm sure you have also read. I assume you've also tried the codec config program to problem solve rendering problems?
http://www.pstnet.com/e-prime/support/kb.asp?TopicID=3162
I have, and get no errors when rendering either my avi or wmv files with the default mappings within codec config but both subsequently freeze (wmv) or fail to load (avi) and return the 11053 error.
I've been consulting with support staff and perhaps if either of us get a workable solution, could post it? Good luck!
Stuart

| Hi, I had a similar problem, but fortunately it is now solved. Try loading the latest drivers for your graphics card and hopefully that should do the trick. Lizzie
