I'm running the latest e-studio RC (I think), 2.0.8.22, although I've also gotten this problem also with 2.0.1.X. I've had it on two different XP machines.
After copying and pasting object (lists, procedures), either across experiments or within a single experiment, I try to save (or save a new copy with save as) and get a dialog box reading "EObject has been deleted or is invalid." This wouldn't be so bad on it's own, except that my .es2 file now disappears entirely or becomes 0K in size. It's pretty frustrating being able to look at my nearly completed experiment and having no way to save it, and knowing that as soon as I close e-prime (or the program crashes, as it does frequently), all my work will vanish.
A helpful PST tech support person told me about the save backup to desktop trick (tools->options->copy backup experiments...)--but what I get is .es2 files for a DIFFERENT experiment that I worked on earlier this morning. So no help there.
I'd gotten used to the occasional crashes and lovable quirks like forms not clearing appropriately when closed. But this is pretty inexcusable, since it completely obliterates the es2 file. Have others seen this and is there a fix?
