| I'm trying to figure out how to randomly select a property for a single attribute separately from just randomly selecting trial order. I'm using a cuing paradigm and have four items that a participant may have to respond to. I would like to present an arrow in the center to direct which item to attend to. These five things (the four items and the central arrow) are all attributes in my trial list and on corresponding slides. Is there a way to randomly choose the direction of the arrow while keeping the set selection of the four items? Thanks so much for any help.

Sorry I can't give an extended reply right now, but basically this seems like a job for nested lists. Please try out the nested lists tutorial in the manuals, that may give you some ideas.
