I want to use the SRbox to collect some response time data, but don't want to record EEG. But when I run my experiment on the computer linked with Mac installed Net Station, it is said "make sure the clock functioning properly", so how can I disable the communication between the SRbox and net station so that I can get response time only? Thanks.

Note the following only applies to those using the single clock solution available with E-Prime Extensions for NetStation

The error you are receiving is..
Unable to communicate with the clock. Please make sure the clock is functioning properly!

This can occur on a machine the first time if NIAutoConfig has not been run (check manual for more info).  The other would be that the connection (50 pin cable) between the E-Prime PC and the NetAmps/Single Clock is not connected.

If you just want to run an experiment on a development machine that does not have the single clock solution, then the manual instructs on how to edit the E-Run.ini to do so.

Thanks for your reply. The computer I want to run my RT experiment is the computer in our ERP lab (set up EEG recording) because I want to use the SRbox which gives more accurate timing. I can perfectly run experiment with SRbox and EEG recording, so the cable should be ok.

Which manual should I check? I never come across "NIAutoConfig" at all. Could you give me further instruction? Thanks.

The E-Prime Extensions for NetStation manual desribes information on how to configure the integration of the systems.  The E-Prime CD contains a Support folder on it that contains a DaqInfo.exe file.  When run this will determine if the system can see the Digital I/O adapter configured on your system.  This should be available off the start menu under the E-Prime branch.

Although I am aware of EGI support staff occassionaly monitoring the PST User Forum, I would encourage you to contact EGI support directly if you continue to have configuration troubles.  They can be e-mailed at support @ egi . com (spaces there to deter s p am bots)

What if, say, that CD isn't working but we're having a similar problem?

If you don't have the CD, you can download it from http://www.pstnet.com/downloads/misc/DaqInfo.exe
