| Hi A-bit-frustrated-from-Cambridge here - but also I'm new, so maybe I'm doing it all wrong.. E-studio (1.2) working fine, decided to add the SRBOX in today, but despite Com port ', Baud rate, etc, looking fine, can't get the SRBOX to be recognised - it's just sitting there lit up (all 5) like a forgotten Christmas tree... the DOS program for configuration doesn't work from Windows, I take it I have to safe boot - though it seems to display the values I want anyway (as default) and have changed the COM1 settings through Device Manager accordingly... IRQ, I/O address all fine... I'm on Win XP, Sp2 if that helps.. Any advice would be welcome, I've been through the troubleshooting...? Thanks James B. (IPH, Cambridge Uni)

| When you run an experiment with an SRBOX device, do you receive an error, or does the experiment continue, but essentially ignore the box (aka the forgotten Christmas tree). Do you know if the box works on another computer? Had you run experiments with the box before (i.e. with prev version of E-Prime)? Try the recently updated http://www.pstnet.com/downloads/srbox/SRBoxTester.exe and see if you have any problems there. -Brandon

| Hi, Sorry, it's me again - No, the TESTER doesn't work, it gives me an error straight off, on the SRBOX.Open statement - thus it can't get any experiment even started. I haven't tried on another PC, will do if I don't get any other replies/help! Thanks James

| PPS I have just tested on another PC, with 2 com ports - it worked fine with the tester program. Or at least it worked fine for about 30 seconds, until smoke started appearing out the back of the SRBox!!?! I have now got to back it back to the supplier for a replacement, so this may be my last post on this for a while. However, perhaps anyone can confirm the spec of the PSU they are using to deliver the DC V 12 (800maA) that the SR box requires? I have a 3A-181WP15 PSU, is this correct? With British 3-pin socket.. Thanks for any info, it would be useful to nail down why it went up in smoke!! James

Hi There,
I'm having problems with running an experiment using the SRBOX. I've received the "Unable to Open SRBOX" error.
Device Name: SRBOX
Error: 0x00004a46
Message: 'Unable to open the SRBOX: 0x00000103
The SRBox Device Driver may not be installed'
I've run the configuration tests, and all seems to be working fine..I'm not sure what needs to be done to fix this problem.
Any suggestions?
