Have a script which was running in 2.0.1.61 (Beta). Worked OK except for the white blank periods between clips, which we were hoping would be fixed by now.

Installed E-Studio Processional RC, tried running the script. When the movie is supposed to display, I get a black screen for 5-6 seconds, then a runtime error:

"Unable to buffer movie - too many retries

Line: 904
Error number:-999"

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Shane

Please attach one of the <filename>-FilterDump.bin files that the experiment should generate in the same folder as the experiment.  Any additional information about the type of movie file (format, length) and machine being played on would be beneficial.

Are you able to play the MovieRT sample?

Hi Brandon,

Here is the FilterDump file. The clip was a 30-second quicktime movie (trying to play it in 5-10 second segments, depending on user's responses). My machine is dual 3.6GHz CPU, Nvidia fx3400 graphics. I am able to play the movie sample. I've also now switched to using AVI versions - the movies are loading and playing, although I'm still having some difficulty controlling start and stop times via E-basic - hopefully there'll be more movie documentation coming out soon.

Thanks,

Shane

Please try E-Prime 2.0.1.101 or later and the other suggestions provided in http://support.pstnet.com/forum/Topic635-12-1.aspx including file format conversion and load factor settings.
