Hi,

I'm trying to run an experiement with video files. At the time when the video should start playing, I get an error. This happens both with the MovieRT sample videos and my avi-videos. I have Windows XP and I can play the video files on my computer.

Here's the error message:

Run-time Error (Line 362)
11030: Unable to create surface for display frame host
Marker: 72

Help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

In general, this error may mean that there is not enough video memory in the display adapter to perform the buffering of movies needed for critical timed trials.  We can determine the amount of video memory with a tech support file and if there are any *FilterDump.bin files located in the same folder as the experiment.  I'd recommend creating a web support request for this one where you can attach the files for more diagnosis.  Any information we find that can benefit the forum will then be shared back.

In general, PST recommends a PCI Express video adapter with at least 64MB of video memory for movie playback use.
