Hi,
I'm trying to use the List LoadMethod set as FILE. Although I found no problem with loading external lists (saved in tab delimited txt file), there is a problem with characters encoding. The experiment is in Polish, and when using external lists, instead of some specific polish characters on the screen there are displayed some strange symbols which obviously don't belong to polish alphabet. Problem completely disappears when particular list attributes are entered directly to list in E-studio, and the List Load method is set to: Embedded.
So, I assume the problem lies between text file and the way it is being loaded on the beginning of the experiment.
To save external files I used EditPad, NotedPad or WordPad (and many others), under all possible combinations of the file format (UTF-8; Windows 1250 or 1252 etc), and couldn't overcome the problem.
Of course I can compile a new script separately for each subject, but then I can't do the research on different machines at a time. Attached you will find working and not working experiments
Thanks for your help
Kuba

I actually can't see where you are using the LoadFile method in your "NotWorking" version of the program, so I can didn't test this out, but might consider using Emacs, which has a Polish language environment. http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/
