Hello, I have set up a serial reaction time experiment using a slide display rather than a text display.  I have four boxes on the slide and want the participant to hit either 1 2 3 or 4 depending on which box an asterisk '*' appears in.  So far the experiment works but it doesn't require a correct answer for the * to move into the next box.  As long as you hit any of the allowed responses the * will proceed to the next box.  I would like the participant to have to answer the correct number corresponding with the correct box before the experiment proceeds

Thanks a bunch,

Rachel

To get the wait object to continue only when the correct response is entered, click on the "advanced" button ind the Duration/Input tag. You need to increase the max count (this will be the number of responses allowed, and by default each one will be included in the RESP value for logging).
Set [CorrectResponse] as the termination response and you're set!

Also, I noticed that the wait object does not accept an input until the stimulus has been displayed for 1 second. This is because the duration for the slide is set to 1000ms. If this isn't what you want, you can set the slide duration to 0, which will allow the input to be collected immediately.
