PST will be hosting an fMRI Products Open House to allow you a hands on evaluation of the newest fMRI equipment and software. We will be setting up a demo laboratory equipped with our visual and auditory stimulus presentation systems as well as our new Persaio - MRI Noise Cancellation Microphone. PST staff will be on site to answer questions and to perform product demonstrations. We will also have the Tobii eye tracking equipment (non fMRI compatible) on site for evaluation, along with the E-Prime Extensions for Tobii. Feel free to come at any time throughout the day. We look forward to seeing you there!
When: Friday, September 17, 2010 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
(Agenda coming soon)
Where: Sheraton Philadelphia University City Hotel
3549 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104
(Approximately a 1/2 mile from the 30th Street Amtrak Station)

Free iPad Giveaway!! There will be a drawing for an iPad giveaway (List Price: $499). You must register and attend to be eligible for the giveaway. Learn more about the iPad on Apple's website.
Persaio™ - MRI Noise Cancellation System:
Persaio™ is an active noise cancellation system for use in MRI research studies. The system eliminates the need for the creation of special scan sequences in order to obtain vocal response data by seamlessly integrating with standard scans. Employing a single MR-compatible microphone and the Repitition Time (TR) Persaio utilizes patent-pending technology to reduce scanner noise dramatically (up to 30 dB in real-time) allowing researchers to hear their participants' speech clearly.
MRI Digital Projection System:
The BrainLogics MRI Digital Projection System uses Digital Light Processing® (DLP) technology that provides microsecond pixel rise times, outstanding contrast with all-digital fiber optic control that allows you to project crystal clear, sharp images. Visual presentation is central to almost all fMRI experiments.
Fiber Optic Button Response System - Celeritas Series Response Units:
The Fiber Optic Button Response Units attach to the participant's wrists and can be comfortably adjusted during scanning. The units are constructed almost entirely from plastic, completely eliminating all metal inside the magnet room. The units communicate button presses through fiber optic cabling which connects to a Fiber Optic Interface Console located in the control room through an available wave guide.
The MRI Simulator provides a realistic approximation of an actual MRI scanner to allow habituation and training of participants in an environment less daunting than a real scanner. The MRI Simulator introduces the participant to an authentic scanning environment, permitting them to gradually become accustomed to the scanning procedure and trained to minimize movements. Allowing the participant to acclimate to the scanner before the actual session helps to prepare them and encourages a calmer and more focused participant, ultimately resulting in more productive scanning sessions.
MoTrak™ - Head Motion Tracking System:
In the simulator, the participant can simultaneously be habituated to the MRI environment, while being trained to remain still via feedback from the MoTrak system.
E-Prime® Extensions for fMRI:
E-Prime® Extensions for fMRI™ software is designed to optimize E-Prime® experiments for fMRI research. EEfMRI allows you to synchronize the start of your experiment with the first scanner trigger pulse along with several valuable features to enhance the control you have over your experiment.
Avotec Audio System:
A supremely simple system, rugged and reliable, that provides elegant solutions to common patient complaints about MRI exams. All this leads to happier and more comfortable patients, which means less time lost and fewer incomplete scans for you. The SS-3100 system adds three fMRI specific features to Avotec's SS-3000 system; mode selection, third octave (OTO) filter bank, and audio calibration.
BrainVoyager QX is a highly optimized and user-friendly software package for the analysis and visualization of multi-modal brain imaging data, not only for structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging data sets but, since BVQX version 2.0, also for EEG and MEG data sets in combination with MR measurements.
Tobii Eye Trackers:
Get set up in minutes on any desktop or laptop computer. Achieve objective results time and cost efficiently, without need for expertise. Tobii Eye Trackers makes eye tracking easy and fully automatic.
E-Prime® Extensions for Tobii:
E-Prime® Extensions for Tobii™ combines the power of E-Prime with easy to use Tobii eye trackers. The E-Prime® Extensions for Tobii includes the script necessary to integrate E-Prime with Tobii eye tracking technology.
